The prestigious honour was bestowed upon Mr. Kotadia in recognition of his exceptional leadership and unique approach to business. Mr. Kotadia has been with SMT since 2013 and has been an instrumental part of SMT’s vision and growth story.
Mr. Kotadia received his science degree from the renowned Purdue University in USA. He aspires to make India the centre of medical device innovation & manufacturing for the global markets. Receiving the award, Mr. Kotadia said, “It’s a true Honor to receive the recognition from such a prestigious publication. I am humbled to accept it on behalf of SMT and the 2000+ brilliant men & women who are working hard day-in day-out around the world on executing our ‘Pledge to Save Millions’.”
SMT (Sahajanand Medical Technologies) was started by Mr. Kotadia’s father and company’s Chairman Mr. Dhirajlal Kotadia in Surat with a handful of engineers in his team. Today, SMT is the leading coronary stent brand in India and one of the fastest growing in Europe & Latin America. SMT has also recently entered into the fast-growing Structural Heart space.
The dynamic list of 40 represents achievers from different industries, selected after rigorous sourcing, nomination, referencing and shortlisting process from an initial list of hundreds of young business leaders drawn upon based on primary research, recommendation from companies and senior industry leaders. The annual study has been conducted in partnership with the consulting firm Spencer Stuart.
