SSI TECHNOLOGIES, the software development division of SSI Limited, an end-to-end IT solutions architect, has notched up yet another landmark achievement – the launch of SecuraTRADE, a web-based trading solution of IndigoMARKETS Inc. (a Bermuda Corporation), to enable Internet Trading solution in the Indian stock market scene, on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"With technology advancing at an unprecedented rate, the customer needs a solution that jump-starts to total online global operations," says Mr. Keshava Shriniwas, CEO, SSI Technologies. "SecuraTRADE is functionally rich, remarkably user-friendly and extremely secure. It will offer flexible and versatile implementations to suit specific customer requirements."

With the approval given by BSE to Keynote Capital, one of Mumbai's leading stock broking houses, a new era of Internet trading has been ushered in the country on its premier and oldest stock exchange.

"We will offer high performing multi-exchange trading facility on both NSE & BSE," said Mr. Suraj Saraogi, Director, Keynote Capital. "We propose to give the retail investor accessibility, transparency, convenience and information to trade in the stock markets." Keynote Capital is an active Investment Banker and an Integrated Stock Broking house. It is a member of the NSE, holds two memberships on BSE and is a sponsor member on the OTCEI.

SecuraTRADE, is a state-of-the-art Internet Trading system, designed and developed by Indigo Markets, a joint venture of SSI and NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers). This joint venture was established in January 2000 to create Internet-based trading and market systems for global markets, including NASD Japan and NASD Europe.

SSI Technologies' offshore development centre in Chennai is the offshore partner for IndigoMARKETS and supports the development and implementation of solutions for IndigoMARKETS' customers worldwide. SSI Technologies of SecuraTRADE will aim at bringing stock exchanges in India closer to the investing public.

SecuraTrade has evolved out of a top down approach by SSI Technologies i.e. a progression from expertise in stock exchange automation to addressing the broker needs -- an approach that stems from SSIT's established domain-technology expertise in all its practices. This has resulted in the incorporation of vital technical features like high availability, scalability, robustness, performance and functional scalability – in short, a totally integrated system.

Designed and specially developed for brokerage houses and financial institutions who need to provide cross-country brokerage services to their customers. SecuraTRADE enables broker houses and stock exchanges to quickly and easily install powerful web-based trading sites on the Internet to service the investors.

With scalability, reliability, continuous availability and security as the design objectives, SecuraTRADE's critical mission architecture is based on Microsoft's Component Architecture Model (COM), and web-enabled using MS ASP. Latest tools have been deployed to achieve the objectives of robust execution and scalability, and a fault tolerant distributed enterprise application. Comprehensive security has been achieved through user and server authentication, message integrity and confidentiality and security firewalls.
