Results acknowledge Rediff.com as the leading Internet destination among Indian consumers

Rediff.com India Limited (NASDAQ: REDF), one of India's leading portals focusing on India and the global Indian community has been voted as India's No.1

‘Search Engine' and the joint winner for the ‘Best Indian Portal' at the ‘PC Quest Users Choice Awards'. Both the awards were won under the Web Computing category. The Awards are instituted by PC Quest-one of India's leading IT magazine.

Rediff.com lead the scores on key factors including brand currently used and brand most likely to be used in the next six months. The survey also included an analysis on the reasons for brand preferences that the users cited. These brand supremacy awards were based on a consumer survey conducted among users by Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) in eleven leading cities across the country. The cities include
Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Cochin, Patna and Lucknow. The research covered 2,600 respondents from small and medium enterprises and affluent households in these eleven cities across the country.

The fast and user-friendly Rediff Search from Rediff.com combines extreme high relevance of its own directory with one of the most advanced Web search technologies. The combination gives Indian surfers the most relevant sites based on their query with the help of a special "relevance engine" that has been developed in-house. Help topics are placed in strategic positions to provide trouble-shooting tips.

Since its inception, the awards have been recognized as the voice of the user and has gained respect in the Indian IT industry. The winners for this year's awards were decided on three broad categories, Personal Computing, Web Computing and Enterprise Computing.
