Rado launches Sintra 'Chrono', a stylish sports watch
Redefining Chrono
New Delhi, Delhi, India

Rado, the internationally renowned Swiss watchmaker, presents its latest offering --Sintra 'Chrono'-- a sports watch with a refreshingly different design. Innovative design is the trademark of all Rado watches and Sintra 'Chrono' is no exception. With this new range, Rado has once again moved away from the conventional style and created a startlingly new design concept in Chrono watches. While a chronograph, categorised as a typical sporty watch, is usually round in shape, Sintra Chrono is rectangular. The new shape adds a uniquely elegant touch that sets Sintra Chrono apart from the regular models available in the market.

"Our objective was to offer our consumers a unique watch, that can be worn for outdoor activities as well as for exclusive social functions. Sintra Chrono fulfils both the requirements. It is tough and user-friendly but looks extremely stylish. Sintra Chrono is an ideal buy for men who wear few accessories, for it is a watch that is 'just right' for every occasion", says Roland Streule, President, Rado Watch Company.

Besides its breathtakingly different look, Sintra Chrono comes with several other attractive RADO features. It is made of scratchproof high-tech ceramics that is skin-friendly and very comfortable to wear. Along with the case and the bracelet, the case back too is made of the same material. The watch crown and the two chronograph-function push buttons are also made of scratch proof ceramics. The rectangular buttons, usually round in shape, are a part of Rado's new design concept and add to the elegance of the watch.

The Rado Sintra 'Chrono' measures intermediate and final times with tenth-of-a-second accuracy and is water-resistant to a depth of 30 metres (98 ft). The watch is available in exquisitely different dial variations at a price range starting from Rs 98,700 upwards.

Recently Rado watch company introduced an India link on its website www.rado.com. The link provides India specific information on Rado products available, price range, retail outlets in each city, customer service centers across the country and the ongoing promotions done by the brand.

First introduced in 1957, the brand name RADO was built up to its market leadership in just 40 years, with a strong international brand image. It has the distinction of manufacturing the world's first scratchproof watch that retains its beauty and lustre for years on end. RADO combines futuristic materials with distinctive design, giving its product the everlasting appearance while guaranteeing functionality, quality and durability.

Rado is part of the 4.3 billion Swiss francs Swatch Group, along with other seventeen watch brands such as Breguet, Blancpain, Omega, Longines, Tissot, Calvin Klein and Swatch. Each of these brands is clearly targeted to tap different segments of the watch market.
