Media Advisory-AcceLight Networks Brings 'Photonic Economics' to SuperComm
Pa, Pittsburgh, United States

"AcceLight to discuss strategic capital investments that will result in greater than 60% operational expenditure reductions"

Service providers Thursday face increasing challenges in building to an accurate forecast. Service demands for one service may be down by as much as 80% while others are increasing rapidly. With the traditional capital expenditure (Capex), investments demanded a single service expenditure for each network layer - TDM, Optical or Packet - resulting in inflexible systems optimization and large capital debt loads.

AcceLight Networks(TM) understands, and has taken up the challenge with an innovative leap in technology. Our new breed of network element - the photonic service switch - enables operational savings of up to 60 per cent while it provides superior service flexibility through intelligent, GMPLS-enabled provisioning and multi service connection management.

Join AcceLight's Mr. Denis Bouffard, product line manager at the International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) technical panel at SuperComm as he discusses "Photonic Economics: Service Intelligence and a Dynamic Optical Network." Mr. Bouffard's presentation describes how carriers and service providers can evolve their networks to achieve service intelligence, and demonstrate how this infrastructure and its benefits can be extended to TDM, Optical or Packet networks. He will also discuss the requirements, implementation and benefits of a common control plane for multiple sub-networks from an operational and economic perspective.

Mr. Bouffard will be available to meet with media and analysts following his presentation.

Presentation Date: Monday, June 3, 2002
Presentation Time: 10:00 hrs
Location: Rooms B312 - B313 (Georgia World Congress Center)
