JINDAL PHOTO FILMS LTD, MANUFACTURERS OF FUJIFILM IN INDIA SPONSORS KEES' NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN
New Delhi, Delhi, India

Jindal Photo Films Ltd (JPFL), India's largest manufacturer of photographic products, under Fujifilm brand name is sponsoring "Flash your Viewpoint", a nature photography camp organised by the Kids Eco Environ Secretariat (KEES). KEES has been coordinating a variety of activities involving school children during the year. The purpose was to unfold before them the exciting yet mysterious world of nature, and to make them aware of the urgent need to protect Mother Nature's bounty. The nature photography camp--‘Flash Your View Point'-- is one such effort that will culminate into the first ever KIDS ECO SUMMIT 2000 to be held in Delhi in December.

As a part of this unique campaign, a series of adventure trips to Wildlife Sanctuaries across north India are being organised for the students of Delhi and NCT schools. The groups are selected and escorted by professionals. The first set has already visited the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, in September. Now preparations are being made for a trip to the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary in Haryana on 10th November.

During the course of these trips, the participants wield their camera to capture Nature at her enticing best. Selected photographs taken by these young participants will be exhibited in a month-long photography exhibition that will coincide with the National Environment Awareness Campaign  (NEAC) to be organised by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests' from November 19 to December 18, 2000, at the National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi.

Fujifilm Japan, which is in a technical and marketing tie-up with Jindal Photo Films Ltd, holds a workshop prior to each of these sessions, in a bid to train the participants in the finer aspects of photography.

The Kids Eco Summit 2000 is a joint environmental programme of the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH)-Ministry of Environment & Forest and Mileage Events & Exhibitions, a Delhi based event Management Company.
