The Convocation of IILM for the Class of 2016 in association with SBS Swiss Business School was held on September 21st, 2016 at its Lodhi Road campus.
The ceremony started with lighting of the lamp. Professor Bert Wolfs, Dean, SBS Swiss Business School, presided over the Ceremony and awarded Degrees to the graduating students. Mrs. Malvika Rai, Chairperson, IILM awarded meritorious students, the Dr. Kulwant Rai Gold Medal was given to Priashna Singh for securing First Position, Nikhil Kumar got Dr. Kulwant Rai Silver Medal for securing Second position and a Special Award was given to Shitiz Garg for Best Thesis. 32 students were conferred degrees in this ceremony.
Dr. Anjali Singh, Dean, IILM Undergraduate Business School, welcomed Prof. Bert Wolfs and Ms. Izabela Karanfiloska, programme manager SBS. She highlighted the fruitful academic partnership with SBS.
Dr. Shuchi Agarwal, Director, IILM Undergrad Business School in her address shared that it’s a matter of immense pride for IILM to be ranked 11 (3 Palmes of Excellence category) for 2014 in the EdUniversal rankings of best business schools in India. Based in Paris, EdUniversal is a global ranking and rating agency specializing in higher education. She also shared news regarding prestigious reaccreditation by SAQS, South Asian Quality Assurance System, an EFMD supported initiative.
Congratulating the students, Prof Bert said, “To fetch difficult goals and achieve them attain self-worth what comes easy to me is difficult to others, so do not squash someone else’s dream, cultivate an open culture and winning edge for all.”
The Convocation concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
