HCL Infosystems (HCL Insys), India's premier technology integration company today announced the launch of its latest range of ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations' incorporating the next generation Intel* Pentium* 4 Processor, launched yesterday by Intel.

This faster and more advanced series of personal workstations will find application among a wide cross-section of the industry and will offer leading technology for higher performance for component modeling, assembly modeling, analysis and video image / sound editing.  The ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations' are very suitable for graphical performance with respect to display colors, texture and shading for Wire frame analysis, GIS, Video Imaging and offers much higher storage capacity and speed of execution.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Singh, Marketing Manager, HCL Infosystems Limited, said, "The new ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations' harness the amazing new capabilities offered by Intel* Pentium* 4 Processor.  Our customers are constantly demanding more and more power and functionality from their systems and these new workstations addresses this need".

The special features of the ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations' include a 1.5 GHz Intel* Pentium* 4 Processor with 2 GB Max.  RDRAM, ECC and Parity Support, an additional AGP 4X card and come preloaded with Microsoft Windows 2000. These features make these as ideal machines for users working in the fields of Motion Pictures/ MCAD and those who were previously using UNIX based workstations.  Application Programmers for MS Windows and other power users will now be able to derive the same degree of CPU and graphical performance on the ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations', which offer higher performance at much lesser price than traditional workstations.

The ‘Infiniti Challenger Workstations' are targeted at MCAD application users in corporates/ government testing laboratories, research and development institutes with high-end requirements, educational institutes, motion picture studios, software development companies involved in development/ debugging/ consultancy etc.  As part of its marketing strategy to market these high-end workstation in India, HCL Infosystems will be looking for value added partners who have a symbiotic relationship with hardware such as CAD/CAM/CAE solution providers and will explore bundling solutions for creating funnel. Besides these, field demonstrations and road shows and seminars will be organized around the country to increase the awareness and visibility.
