HCL INFOSYSTEMS ANNOUNCES TIE-UP WITH BROAD VISION
Bags its first order from Xerox Modi Corporation

HCL Infosystems Ltd (HCL Insys), India's premier technology integration company, today announced its tie-up with BroadVision Inc.® (Nasdaq: BVSN), a leading provider of personalized e-business applications. HCL Insys will act as a value-added distributor for BroadVision's customised software, services, support, maintenance and other related services.

This partnership will strengthen HCL Insys ability to provide end-to-end solutions by adding to its portfolio, a wide spectrum of e-business solutions and services, which are, customised applications for extended enterprise Customer Relationship Management. These applications include suites for e-commerce, online banking and Knowledge Management. HCL Insys will resell BroadVision's software, services, and support/ maintenance as well as provide additional related services for the customers.

These solutions and services from BroadVision will provide HCL Insys customers personalized features, which will enable their employees, partners and customers to select their own paths and set their own paces. Also the One-to-One product line will e-enable "Customization" to foster better Customer Relationship Management, which will help to develop customer loyalty for their products and services.

HCL Insys has already got its first customer, Xerox Modi Ltd. for software licenses for three BroadVision solutions. This order includes sale of software licenses for One-to-One Enterprise, One-to-One Business Commerce and One-to-One Knowledge Management for enabling Xerox Modi Corporations large-scale net business worldwide. This software will be used to integrate different applications on a common Enterprise platform and as a Critical Enabler for its Web Strategy.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Singh, Manager-Marketing Services, HCL Insys, said, "HCL Insys has always been proactive in recognising its customer's needs and providing them personalised e-business products & services. This alliance will be mutually beneficial as BroadVision has core competencies and target markets complimentary to ours. BroadVision solutions include Internet software products and services for enabling large-scale net business especially in Finance & Banking, Manufacturing, Telecom and Federal sectors. The software includes One-to-One Billing, One-to-One Commerce, One-to-One Enterprise, One-to-One Financials, One-to-One Knowledge, One-to-One Publishing, One-to-One Retail Commerce, One-to-One Tools, BroadVision Procurement, and BroadVision MarketMaker etc. Also HCL will provide Professional Services like Consulting, Support, and Solutions Delivery using BroadVision's implementation Methodology. In addition, HCL Insys has created a Competency Centre for BroadVision in addition to the already existing Competency Centres for Microsoft, Pivotal, i2, SAP, OpenView etc.
