Consumers Vote Kwality Wall's Vanilla as the Best
Kwality Wall's 'dare to compare' challenge: 'Vanilla Gold' voted as the best Vanilla by consumers

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

In a novel way to induce consumer sampling and encourage feedback, Kwality Wall's has launched a - 'dare to compare' initiative.

Under this activity, Kwality Wall's encourages consumers to sample "blind" - their newly launched Vanilla Gold against that of the next biggest competitor in the city and then rate the same. So far the consumer ratings have indicated that Vanilla Gold is the most preferred Vanilla, with more than 87 per cent respondents, rating Vanilla gold as superior over competition's vanilla. Qualitatively too they have rated Vanilla Gold as excellent, with a lingering rich and creamy taste.

Kwality Wall's has set up such sampling counters across the city covering areas like Gole Market, Rajouri Garden etc. in the city. Over 800 people are expected to visit the counters. The respondents are expected to mention and rate which Vanilla they prefer and why, after tasting the products.

Kwality Wall's has recently launched Vanilla Gold - with a unique formulation, the new Vanilla Gold is a creamier and much thicker product than other vanilla products in the market. It also has the right sugar balance.

"Our strategy this year has been to give the consumer differentiated products, right across the portfolio, and Vanilla would be no exception" says Mr J H Mehta, Executive Director, Ice cream Division, Hindustan Lever Limited. "The original, textbook Vanilla was never pure white in colour, but slightly yellowish. We extended this thought and developed a formulation, right here in our own research center, which is not only richer and creamier, it also matches what the Indian consumer looks for, in terms of taste profile in a great tasting ice cream", he added. "We have researched this product extensively and are confident that this is the best vanilla the Indian consumer has ever have"

Little wonder, Kwality Wall's is ready to throw open a challenge to any competitor that their Vanilla is the best.
