The ‘Pavilion', an Australian site that combines the country's two leading newspapers, ‘The Age' and ‘Sydney Morning Herald'; offers Rediff.com content to Indian and others in Australia. A software company run by one of India's leading cricket stars, Anil Kumble, brings a state of the art graphics analysis package, live, to supplement the existing scoreboard.

"Most cricket sites are good at providing information," says Contributing Editor and television personality Harsha Bhogle. "But cricket in India is about more than that – it is about passion. And Rediff.com scores, because the site, its contents, reflect the passion of the fans."

"Way back in 1996, Rediff.com pioneered online interactive cricket, by combining live commentary with live chat. This service allowed users to interact with each other as well as with the commentators while they followed the game," says Prem Panicker, Editor, Entertainment & Sports, Rediff.com. "Since then, the thinking behind Rediff.com's cricket coverage has been to keep the user's needs as its prime focus, and cover the game from the user's perspective."
