Brickwork Finance Academy (BFA) www.bfa-india.org had organized convocation for the BFA Level I and Level II graduating batch of 2014, at their facility on Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore today. Welcoming the students, Vivek Kulkarni, President of BFA said, “BFA’s Level I and Level II are meant for those aspiring for a career with banks, investment banks, mutual funds, insurance firms as well as positions in BFSI sector in outsourcing industry.”
Delivering the inaugural address, Prof. K R S Murthy, Advisor BFA and former Director IIM, said, “Highly qualified IIM and IISc Professors and industry experts make the BFA program one of great value to those interested in pursuing a career in the BFSI sector. In addition to the banking and financial theory inputs, BFA faculty, with their experience in the banking and credit rating industries, provide practical knowledge of the world of practice and give valuable insights. I am sure that successful completion of BFA Level I and Level II exam is a sound foundation for success for those pursuing a career in the banking and financial sector. I wish them all success.”
The Presidential address was given by Dr. P G Apte, Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance, at National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM). Dr. Apte stated that “the BFA program was very well designed. The biggest challenge faced by academic institutions today, is making graduates job-ready and improve their employability. With the backing of a large Indian corporate, industry oriented courses such as The Banking and Financial Analyst Program is what India needs today given the global exposure that our workforce faces.”

Banking & Financial Analyst (BFA) is a certification conferred upon by Brickwork Finance Academy. The certification is offered at two levels – Level I and Level II. The candidates who pass these exams would have higher level of analytical rigor, understanding of equity, fixed income, derivative markets, knowledge of Indian bank lending and mastery of credit and risk analysis. They could be absorbed as rating analysts, financial analysts, business analysts, credit analysts, risk analysts, loan officers, fixed income analysts in commercial banks, investment banks, mutual funds, insurance firms and pension funds. They can also be absorbed as finance and risk managers in finance departments of corporates.
There are three choices to pursue BFA program. They could attend 9 month weekend classes offered at Brickwork Finance Academy. They could view the same classes via Google Hangout. Else, they can do self-study and take the exams directly.
